Once you know the chess rules, you find yourself with a wealth of choices. What is a good move during the opening stage? This course explains how you can distinguish a good opening stage move from a bad one.

The course also mentions 2 openings from white's perspective, which together form a widely applicable repertoire for white. A game of the King's Indian Attack system is analyzed so that you have an example on how to continue the attack in this opening system, what to do and what not to do.

In the next parts of this course, we discuss 2 openings for black which together form a defense against the most common first moves of white.
